Qualitative Research Methodologies: Participatory Action Research (PAR) in Nursing and other Health Sciences
The Summer School 2012 in Participatory Action Research (PAR) enables nurses and other health professionals with basic knowledge in qualitative research to develop and plan their own PAR project. Participatory action research is a form of experimental research that aims at improving the quality of life for a population or in a practice setting by direct community involvement and action of the researcher. The Summer School will provide the opportunity to develop an advanced understanding of and skills in PAR, to receive mentoring from international experts in the field; and to build relationships with other nurses on a national and international level.

Phenomenology in Nursing and other Health Sciences
Das Institut für Pflege hat interessierten, engagierten und fortgeschrittenen Fachpersonen aus allen Gesundheitsberufen die Möglichkeit geboten, sich während einer Woche vertieft mit einem Thema der qualitativen Forschungsmethoden auseinanderzusetzen. Vom 2. bis 6. August 2011 fand die erste einer Reihe von internationalen Summer Schools zum Thema «Phenomenology in Nursing and other Health Sciences» in Winterthur statt. Wir haben internationale Experten als Dozierende eingeladen und zusätzlich Workshops angeboten. Es war auch eine hervorragende Gelegenheit für Gedankenaustausch und Vernetzung.
